Bronze subject with brown patina signed Adolphe Martial Thabard * (1831 - 1905).
He represents a young naked falconer, dressed in a simple loincloth. He holds a branch directed towards the hawk that lands in his hand.
The subject rests on a circular base with multiple moldings.
Period: Second half nineteenth.

He debuted at the Salon in 1863 with a young girl carrying a vase, and exhibited there regularly until 1901.
He devoted himself all his life to decorative sculpture and got many orders from the state.
In 1872, he won a second class medal, then a silver medal at the 1889 World's Fair in Paris.
Martial Adolphe Thabard receives the insignia of Knight of the Legion of Honor on July 13, 1884.
